US Open Stadium, Flushing, Queens

Here we see Capitol Awning continuing its partnership with the USTA and the US Open Tournament. The US Open is New York's one an only chance to shine in the world of professional tennis. There are spectators, cameras and reporters broadcasting globally and the spotlight is always focused on one thing. Our custom printed Patio 500 back walls. Each wall on the ends of the court measure 94 feet wide by 8 feet high. If you're watching a US Open highlight, you're watching Capitol Awning at its finest.

Metropolitan Museum of Art, Kwoma Installation

Capitol Awning is proud to say that our work is now being shown in the Metropolitan Museum of Art! Opening Wednesday, November 14, 2007 will be the newly renovated Galleries of Oceanic Art. Inside you will be able to see the above installation we've covered with Sunbrella. The new exhibit will contain art work from the Kwoma people of New Guinea, as well as Australia and the islands of the southwest Pacific. On top is the finished covering and in the two lower pics you can see the frame work and the covering process.

US Tennis Center, Flushing, Queens

Here's a look at a brand new free standing patio awning that we've just covered at the US Tennis Center. During this years US Open Tennis Championships this area will provide a much needed break from the heat, or like last years tournament, the rain. Stay tuned for more pics of our US Open work from inside the stadium coming soon!

FOUNTAIN CAFE @ LINCOLN CENTER, NYC

Here we see the before photo of the Fountain Cafe located at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, not too inviting. However, after a complete recover with custom digitally printed stripes on Sunbrella, the Fountain Cafe is drawing in cutomers interested in the arts, as well as passers by enjoying the Upper West Side neighborhood.

SOUTH JAMAICA FDNY

Capitol Awning continued its support this year for our local South Jamaica Fire Department. The Merrick Blvd. Magic celebrated their 100th year of service to the community this summer. Also we congratulate Firefighter Scott Breslin on his receiving the 2007 MJ Delehanty Medal. Check out both of our banners designed to honor our FDNY heros.

NIKON Pavillion @ Jones Beach Theatre, L.I.

Check out this new addition to the Jones Beach Theatre. An A-Frame awning that houses the Nikon Pavillion. Providing shade in the summer beach heat and standing out in day or night with its bright yellow color.
